Northern Lights! Are you kidding me!?

Last night a few friends and I went out 30 minutes past the city lights and into Neverland, well not actually. Actually I had gone out with my camera with the intentions of getting a great star trail shot. I got a 'ok' star trail shot, but a really sweet couple 100 shots of the Northern Lights, not that any of us knew they were going on while we were there. I didn't realize how much green light there was in the sky until I put them on my computer and over exposed and brightened them. It was amazing! So of course I had to make a movie. :)

These next few are from in town. As we were driving back in to PG the lights starting getting super bright and amazing. Here are the best. These shots are straight from camera. 

Now imagine this picture with a few dots, but the rest black. Thats what I saw until I brightened it all up... no added color or lights. I welcomed this awesome surprise. 

I have been dreaming about this shot for a few years now. I am happy with this one. But it will get better. Especially when I am able to get the North Star in it. But for now I love this one too.
